Later he ran his family' s resort on Gull Lake, Michigan and worked in plant protection at Gibson, Inc., Kalamazoo for 20 years. Dale married Bertha May Downey, born 22 May 1905 Decator, Illinois. Bertha taught third grade in District number 6, died 1984, Kalamazoo, Michigan, buried in Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland, Michigan.

Frank Martin Humphrey was born in 1855 in Michigan, married Anna Elizabeth Williams 1 January 1886. Anna was born 18 January 1865, Hickory Corners, Michigan. Frank lived on a farm in Richland until he built a house, about 1910 on the north western bank of Gull Lake and ran a resort there until his death July 1930. He is buried in Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland, Michigan.
