Photograph on Kodak paper of Elwin Clark in front of his home. Text on back: "Elwin Clark 18-21, resident of Yorkville, 11635 East D. , May, 1977, P233." Elwin was born in Yorkville, Michigan 4 November 1892, son of Charles and Anna (Lenders). He was a Member of the Yorkville Church where he was an elder. He worked in the telephone industry for 47 years beginning in 1910 with the Citizens Telephone Company in Battle Creek, Michigan and later the General Telephone Company in Springfield, Illinois, where he retired in 1957. Returning to Yorkville he enjoyed furniture restoration in his workshop. He died at the age of 95 in 1988

Edward Earl Somerville farmed in Doster and Cressy, Michigan before moving to Richland, Michigan where he became a plumbing and electrical contractor. While residing in Richland, Michigan he served on the Richland Board of Review, acted as a Constable Building Inspector and was an active collector of antique phones.

The house was initially constructed as a New England Salt Box style house in 1856 by Orson Whitlock. It underwent extensive alterations and additions with the original Salt Box remaining at it's core.

Sara Ann Bradley, born Parkville, Kings County New York 22 August 1842, died 10 January 1918 Richland, Michigan. In 1870 Sarah was a teacher and by 1900 her occupation was as a painter. Mary B. Bradley, born September 1846 in Michigan, died 14 December 1919, Richland, Michigan. In 1870 Mary was a teacher. In 1886 Mary Bradley was elected Secretary of the Richland Ladies Library Association, a post she held for 23 years. Both Sara and Mary are buried in Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland, Michigan.

Photograph of a well-dressed man walking in along a row of retail establishments, text on back of the photograph: Dr. Codrington P223. Dr. Richard Frederick Codrington born 22 January 1869 in Kulludghee, Bombay, India. His father was George Henry Forbs Codrington and mother was Edith Henrietta. United States Census records indicate he immigrated 1902 to 1912 depending on the record, he never attained citizenship. Dr. Codrington was a doctor in Richland, Michigan after 1920 to 1940. In 1920 he is recorded in the U.S. Census living in Leslie, Ingham County, Michigan occupation Doctor and divorced. Dr. Codrington lived at 3180 Park street, Richland, Michigan in 1930 and 1940. On 13 September 1940 he entered Borgess Hospital as a medical patient and died 26 October 1940. His remains were removed to Leslie, Michigan for services and burial.

Hazel Wildermuth was born 1891, Pine Lake, Barry County, Michigan. 1909 graduated from Hastings High School. 1910 taught at Calkins School in rural Barry County. 1913 taught all 8 grades at Yorkville School, Ross Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan. 1914 became principal at Orangeville School, Barry County. 1918 became principal at Prairieville School, Barry County. 1922 returned to Yorkville School as principal and teacher. 1971 retired from Gull Lake Community Schools after 59 1/2 years in education. Hazel Wildermuth was a Scout Leader, a 4-H leader for 45 years, the most of any leader in the United States, a church leader and Sunday School teacher. Hazel was active in many civic groups. she was honored through letters from President and Mrs. Nixon, Governor Milliken and many legislatures. Hazel Wildermuth died 14 July 1987, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her memoirs, poetry, articles and an extensive compiled history with memorabilia of the Yorkville area are archived at Kalamazoo Public Library, Kalamazoo Michigan.
