Photograph of Ward Barrett next to a wall of framed plaques and certificates. On the back: "Ward Barrett P224. Ward E Barrett lived at 8782 Gull Road, Richland, Michigan. He was born 5 June 1881 in Pine Plains Township, Allegan County, Michigan, son of James and May Barrett. He was a printer at Donnelly Lakeside Press, Chicago. He enlisted in Company C 35th Michigan Infantry and discharged in 1903 from the 19th Regiment United States Infantry. Ward applied for disability 10 January 1927 by application 1566624 and was granted by certificate R8 Inf 27. He was past commander of Richard Westnedge Post Spanish American War Veterans. Ward passed away Sunday 13 November 1977, Interred Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland, Michigan."
