The building was erected in 1873, and continued to be used as a classroom even after it was annexed into Otsego school district in 1957. It was used as a home for many years, but later was destroyed by fire 22 June 1992. Handwritten text along the lower left in white reads: "Alamo High School, Alamo, Michigan."
