Paul Pommer correspondence, 1918-05-21, World War I
Creator:
Pommer, Paul
Description:
Letter from musketeer Paul Pommer addressed to the family of Gust. (Gustav) Pommer in Frankfurt, Germany. Postmarked Kriegslazarett Brussels Feldpost, hand dated May 21, 1918. Pommer writes about receiving a package with cakes and other stuffs and sends his thanks. He mentions the holiday that past. Pommer updates them on his health. Able to stand everyday and move about the hall, he thinks his injuries are going better, although the open wound does still pose a struggle. He met with a doctor who looked at his wound and said it looks good. Pommer believes that so long as the doctor is correct, he is very thankful to God for this. Other than this, it is the usual. Over the weekend two soldiers died in the hall, and more come in and out. Pommer hopes all his letters were sent and received, that the weather has been very good, and he hope that in general everyone is doing well.
