Description:
Front cover of a small Balinese palm leaf manuscript (lontar) displaying etched images from a retelling of the Hindu epic, the Ramayana. View shows the front bamboo cover incised with a burned stick, and illustrated with geomentric designs. Also shows Chinese bronze coins attached to a cord running through a hole in the center margins of each leaf.
