In 1932, she won an Alpha Kappa Alpha fellowship for foreign study to Oxford University where she received a degree in International Relations in 1935. The majority of the photographs feature the University of Oxford buildings, her room mates, and architecture from England. Also included in the scrapbook are newspaper clippings of the floodlighting during Oxford’s Jubilee celebration, a team rowing competition, a wedding invitation dated June 8, 1933, views of Windsor Castle and Château d'Échuilly, a ticket to the performance of La Locandiera at the hall of the Taylorian Institute dated December 1, women and children from Holland, and the Martin Luther monument in Dresden, Germany.
