A tan scrapbook with a flower and "Snapshots" on the cover. The scrapbook contains get-well cards and a post-operative award certificate. Only the certificate is dated: July 27, 1949. The get-well cards refer to Merze Tate's stay in a hospital for an operation at an unknown date. An envelope accompanying one of the cards is addressed to Geo. Washington Hospital. Cards are from family, sorority sisters, faculty women's clubs, colleagues at Howard University and friends. Signatures identified from the cards include: Mary and Aaron; Mr. and Mrs. C. E.
