Back of a folded indenture document (conveyance) of Penelope Warde of Great Dunmow, Essex, widow to Richard Phillips, who was a wheelwright, for 10 pounds 15s plus 8 pounds to be paid to her 10s each quarter day with grants of parcels of land in Great Dunmow towards Chelmsford.

Written in England, county of Essex and dated 1 December 1659 in document. Signed, The mark of Penelope Warde beside the slits for the parchment tag on the plica. Gift of Western Michigan University Department of History to WMU Special Collections in 1999.
