View shows six actors standing on stairs and turned toward the actor for Dick Deadeye. All the actors are wearing period style costumes. The event was reported in the Kalamazoo Gazette, May 29, 1943, page 3 and includes the names of a few principle actors. Only a few of the names have been matched to the students pictured: John W. Batdorf (playing Captain Corcoran), second from top of stairs; Keith Dinda (playing Sir Joseph Porter), half standing on lowest stair, arm in arm with Patricia Westerberg (playing Hebe); Art Bland (playing Dick Deadeye), standing to the far left; Peyton Hibbitt (playing Ralph Rackstraw), second from the right; Louise Goss (playing Buttercup), standing to the far right. The photograph was taken for Miss Esther Nelson, director of choral music at the high school.
