Hamilton's Store
Description
Photograph of a turn of the century general store. The original store was moved from Will Greer's farm Ross Township in 1900 to Yorkville and a Post Office was soon added. By 1940 the Post office was abandoned. Ownership of the business by 1972 were: Edward Townsend, George Bietry, Mrs. E. Stafford, Merton Phillips, Carl Reese, Carl Hamilton and F.L. Hamilton.

Photograph of a turn of the century general store with Post Office. Five men, one on a horse drawn delivery wagon, and three women are shown in front of the store and post office. Operated by the Van Pelts, the original store was moved from Will Greer's farm Ross Township in 1900 to Yorkville and a Post Office was soon added. Ownership of the business by 1972 were: Edward Townsend, George Bietry, Mrs. E. Stafford, Merton Phillips, Carl Reese, Carl Hamilton and F.L. Hamilton.
