Description
Kalamazoo Gazette photo showing a pile of debris from a short arch on Western Michigan University campus. The short arch was hit by a tall truck of the Saginaw Transfer Company making a delievery at the college. The arch spanned a driveway just north of the men’s physical education building on West Michigan Avenue. It was constructed of limestone towers and “I” beam overhead. The debris mostly consists of the “I” beam debris and west tower. The arch had been part of the WMU’s campus improvement program. The photograph was featured in the Kalamazoo Gazette, page 13, October 20, 1955.
