Photograph of Alma Routsong who attended WMU in 1943 as Elma Routsong. Routsong published her first two novels under her name, including Round Shape (Houghton Mifflin, 1959) and subsequent works under the pen name Isabel Miller and went onto win the first Stonewall Book Award for Patience and Sarah which was originally self-published under the title A Place For Us.
