Gentlemen’s Club House, Kalamazoo, Michigan
Sepia photograph of the Gentlemen’s Club House (earlier known as the Bassett House) at northwest corner of South Burdick and West South Streets. The italianate house was originally built in 1860 for the John Bassett family. View includes sidewalks and trees along with carriage in distance on West South Street. Photo was taken for 1890 Picturesque Kalamazoo book and was included in the book “Kalamazoo Lost and Found” by Lynn S. Houghton.
