Photograph of the building site for Western State Normal School (later East Campus) on Prospect Hill. A light hangs over the intersection of Davis and Walnut Streets. The project was $40,000 for construction, and all utilities connections were donated to the State by the Kalamazoo school board. Prospect Hill was chosen from four prospective sites by the Olmsted Brothers Landscape Services firm of Brookline, Massachusetts.
