Paul Pommer correspondence, 1918-02-19, World War I
Creator:
Pommer, Paul
Description:
Letter from musketeer Paul Pommer addressed to the family of Gust. (Gustav) Pommer in Frankfurt, Germany. Postmarked K.D. Feldpost, February 21, 1918. Pommer did not receive any mail that day but will write anyway. He mentions that the past three weeks had been quiet, which usually means a large storm is on the way. Pommer complains about the food, the types of food and general prices. He adds that everything other than bread is not fairly priced. The quiet has also made Pommer contemplate about Russia, curious about what is going on over there.
