Title:
Paul Pommer correspondence, 1916-12-27, World War I
Creator:
Pommer, Mrs. Gustov
Description:
Letter from Paul Pommer’s mother in Frankfurt, dated December 27, 1916. She begins by expressing concern that she has not heard from Paul in a while and asks if he could quickly write back. She writes about Christmas rations and also how a man called Herr Buchwald helped them get more than is standard. She asks if and when he will get a vacation and if he has received the package sent by his family. In the new year they have no flour so she cannot bake which appears to be a problem because the Braeunlich family wanted her to host some gathering. She ends by making wishes that the next year will be better and wishes her son Paul love and health for the new year.
