Creator:
Pommer, Martin
Description:
Letter from Martin Pommer to his older brother, musketeer Paul Pommer. Postmarked Frankfurt, November 13, 1916. Martin mentions he’s writing the letter at the end of his day while tending the fire alone in the room. He writes about the boys in his school, a vocational school called the Gewerbschule, and how three of them believed to have seen Paul with his suitcase. He also mentions walking up to a sergeant with the other boys one day. He describes other boys in town (Wilhelm, Georg, Otto) and what they will be doing for work or training for work. Martin then mentions Paul’s interest in writing his friend Adolf Camus who is also in the war, and provides Adolf’s info in the 114 Inf. Division. On the final page Martin writes about their mother, other people they know, and how he misses Paul.
