Upper board of a treatise on the Virtues and Vices that includes an eighteenth-century forgery of its medieval provenance. Modern cover wrapped in leather and stamped with a Comte Chandon de Briailles in the center.

Written, probably in Italy, in the late 14th or early 15th century. From the book-label: au Cte. Chandon de Briailles. mss. 68. Jointly purchased by Western Michigan University and the Newberry Library in 2011.
