In 1941 a modified military program was incorporated into the daily routine and the name of the school became Barbour Hall Junior Military School. The school closed following the 1978-1979 academic year. Sister Theresa and Sister Michel were members of the Congregation of St. Joseph who worked with the Academy's administration to educate the boys.
