Description:
Letter from musketeer Karl Rolle to musketeer Paul Pommer in Frankfurt. Dated October 31, and postmarked Zegrze, November 2, 1917. Pommer's friend Karl writes about what he is learning in his encampment regarding aircraft. He writes about the food and how it lacks in quality compared to his time in Mainz. He tells Pommer that he hopes he has the luck to not be stationed on the front and to stay home at camps, for he will be leaving for the front in six to eight weeks. He urges Pommer to only write to him when he has the time.
